The volume of agricultural production in the Leningrad Region in 2018 amounted to 90.3 billion rubles and increased by 2.0% compared with 2017 (a year earlier increase was 0.8%), including in agricultural organizations – 63.4 billion rubles (0.8% more).

In all categories of farms, it was produced: meat (livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight) 383.8 thousand tons, or 101.2% from the same period of 2017 (in agricultural organizations – 374.1 thousand tons, or 101.2%), milk – 632.0 thousand tons, or 101.9% (595.2 thousand tons, or 101.9%), chicken eggs – 3,166.7 million pieces, or 99.2%
(3,107.9 million pieces, or 99.3%).

The people’s households and farmers produced 2.5% of meat, 5.8 – of milk
 and 1.9% of eggs.

In 2018, an average of 8,462 kg of milk was milked per cow in large, medium and small agricultural enterprises, which is 0.9% more than in 2017. Based on one hen, it was obtained in large and medium-sized agricultural organizations an average of 314 eggs, or 98.7% of the 2017 level.

All agricultural producers of the Region sold: 381.4 thousand tons of meat (livestock and poultry in live weight), or 101.3% by 2017; 599.9 thousand tons of milk and dairy products, or 99.9%; 3,033.1 million eggs, or 107.3%.
