In December 2018, consumer prices in relation to December 2017 increased by 4.0% (in December 2017 to December 2016 – by 2.7%), including food products – by 4.7% (1.2%), non-food – by 3.5% (3.1%), paid services to the population – by 3.4% (4.6%).

The cost of the minimum set of food products in December 2018 prices amounted to 4,812.44 rubles per month, which is 2.6% higher than in November 2018.

In the fourth quarter of 2018, the average price of 1 m2 of the total area of apartments on the primary housing market was 53,634 rubles, on the secondary one – 52,653 rubles.

Retail trade turnover in December 2018 amounted to 37.0 billion rubles, which is 1.0% more in comparable prices than in December 2017 (114.7% compared to November 2018); in January – December, respectively, 387.8 billion rubles (2.1% more).

In the structure of retail trade turnover, the share of retail trade in food products, including beverages, and tobacco products in January – December 2018 was 46%, in January – December 2017 – 50%, non-food products – 54% (50%)

 

The turnover of public food service in December 2018 amounted to 1.5 billion rubles, or 104.9% by December 2017 (compared to November 2018 – 108.1%); in January – December, respectively, 16.4 billion rubles (103.4%).

The volume of paid services rendered to the population in the Leningrad Region in January – December 2018 amounted to 75.7 billion rubles and in comparable prices increased by 3.3% compared to January – December 2017. The main place in the structure of paid services consumed by the population is still occupied by housing and communal services – 55.0%, transport – 11.0%, household – 8.0%, education systems – 6.0%, medical services – 6.0%, telecommunications – 3.0%.
