Gross Regional Product

In 2017, the gross regional product of the Leningrad Region (GRP) amounted to 965.8 billion rubles, which forms 1.3% of all-Russian GDP. The volume index of GRP in 2017 increased by 1.4%, which is comparable in terms of growth with the average Russian level (1.8% by 2016).

The bulk of the gross regional product (about 80% of the total) is created in the real sector of the economy, including industrial production (36.3% of GRP), construction (10.3%), transport (13.7%) in wholesale and retail trade (12.0%) and agriculture (4.7%).
