The volume of agricultural production in the Leningrad Region in January-December 2020, according to preliminary data, amounted to 85.2 billion rubles and increased by 0.1% compared to the level of 2019 (a year earlier there was an increase of 1.0%). including in agricultural organizations – 66.6 billion rubles (1.6% more).
Plant growing
The volume of crop production amounted to 21.9 billion rubles, or 95.8% to the level of 2019.
According to preliminary data, in 2020, farms of all categories threshed 160.7 thousand tons of grain in weight after processing, 187.1 thousand tons of potatoes were dug up, 130.4 thousand tons of open field vegetables were harvested. Compared to 2019, grain was harvested by 10.6% more, potatoes harvested by 8.7%, open field vegetables – by 9.8%.

Households and farmers produced 2.5% of meat and 5.8% of milk and 1.9% eggs. All agricultural producers of the region sold in January-December 2020: 369.4 thousand tons of meat (livestock and poultry in live weight), or 99.1% by January-December 2019; 600.9 thousand tons of milk and dairy products, or 102.6%; 3111.6 million eggs, or 110.1%.
